Dave Mell's intent was simple... support the mission of Genesis HealthCare System "to provide compassionate, quality healthcare" with an affordable investment that would ultimately achieve great outcomes. A gift of life insurance proved to be the best option for Dave and his family. Dave simply purchased a policy in which the Genesis HealthCare Foundation is both owner and beneficiary. As a result, Dave was able to make a significant investment in the future health of our community in a very cost-effective manner. Genesis HealthCare System is committed to providing the highest quality care possible to its patients. The Genesis HealthCare Foundation is dedicated to supporting that effort by providing resources for items such as the recent 2 year, $2.1 million pledge to upgrade all of the system's IV pumps to "smart pumps." The new pumps greatly increase patient safety by ensuring the right amount of medicine is administered to the right patient at the right time.
